Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments for clients presenting with mood disorders, evaluating symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder to determine appropriate treatment strategies.

• Utilize established therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective interventions that foster resilience and coping skills.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care routines to promote understanding and active participation in the healing process.

• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting plans and interventions as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with adult clients experiencing mood disorders, ranging from mild to severe conditions. These may include depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder among others. Your expertise will help clients navigate their mental health journeys, fostering a safe and supportive environment where they can openly share their experiences and work toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
