Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations to accurately assess patient needs and conditions.

• Working collaboratively with patients to create personalized treatment plans, setting achievable goals for their mental health journey.

• Utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms effectively to document sessions and track patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve adult clients dealing with a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related disorders. It is vital that you demonstrate patience, empathy, and cultural competency to effectively engage with diverse populations. Our approach values the individuality of each patient, ensuring that therapy is responsive to their unique circumstances and strengths.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

• An active New York State License in mental health counseling (LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC).

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in using EHR systems and video conferencing tools to facilitate remote therapy sessions.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and effectively convey therapeutic concepts.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of related experience in mental health counseling is required, individuals with experience in community health settings, especially in outpatient care, will be given preference. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices is an advantage, as is any experience with crisis intervention or trauma-informed care.
