Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients to identify their mental health needs, utilizing diagnostic assessments to formulate accurate treatment plans.

• Provide individualized one-on-one counseling to clients facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, such as support and psychoeducational groups, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for participants to share and learn from one another.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that involve setting measurable goals, interventions, and regular reviews to track client progress.

• Assist clients in crisis situations by offering immediate support, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating emergency interventions as needed.

The clients you will work with come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Active and valid license as a mental health counselor in New York State, demonstrating completion of all state-defined education and clinical training requirements.
