Assistant General Counsel

Location: New York, NY Experience Required: 6 Years as a transactional attorney. Real estate finance experience preferred. Our client, a global financial services company, is looking for an Assistant General Counsel to join their New York office. The ideal candidate will have 6 years of legal experience at a law firm or comparable in-house role. The selected candidate will provide legal support for a portfolio of bilateral commercial real estate lending transactions, advising business teams throughout the lifecycle of mortgage and construction loans from origination through closing, servicing, and workout. The Assistant General Counsel is responsible for assisting the General Counsel and the other attorneys in the Legal Department in handling the overall activities of the Legal Department, including supervising support staff. Base annual salary is expected to start at $230,000 to $270,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
