Shift: 7 AM 7 AM (on-call)

Licenses/Certifications: Kentucky medical license & OB/GYN board certification preferred

Experience: At least 2 years in obstetrics & gynecology

What You'll Do

• Provide inpatient obstetric care, including routine vaginal deliveries and low-forceps deliveries
• Manage complicated deliveries such as C-sections, breech, and multiple births
• Conduct decision-making for cesarean sections and VBACs
• Repair third and fourth-degree lacerations
• Collaborate with midwives on call and delivery
• Use EPIC EMR to document patient encounters
• Participate in on-call duties, providing coverage for emergent and routine cases
• Contribute to a low-volume, high-quality obstetric service

What You Need

Required:

• Kentucky medical license & DEA registration
• Board-certified or eligible OB/GYN physician
• Minimum 2 years' experience in obstetrics & gynecology
• Strong clinical decision-making skills and comfort with inpatient care

Preferred:

• Experience with labor and delivery, C-section, and emergency obstetric procedures
• Comfort working with midwives and collaborative teams

About the Assignment This position is based at a reputable hospital in Paducah, KY, with a dedicated inpatient OB/GYN service. The hospital sees approximately 700-800 deliveries annually, with a low volume of C-section patients. The facility features onsite labs, ultrasound, and Level II nursery care, supporting your role in delivering comprehensive obstetric services. Midwives will manage their own call and deliveries, enhancing team collaboration in a supportive environment.
