Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.

• Collaborate with clients to develop tailored treatment plans that meet their individual needs, preferences, and goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address clients' concerns effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and practical self-care strategies to empower their recovery journey.

• Track client progress meticulously and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans in response to evolving needs.

• Work together with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education workshops to foster growth and learning.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs both within and outside of the clinic, striving to reduce stigma and promote understanding.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves individuals dealing with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Therapists will have the opportunity to work with a wide array of clients, including marginalized populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, enabling therapists to make a meaningful difference in the larger community.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
