Head of Product Marketing

Description DLP is broken. Too many alerts, zero context, security teams drowning in noise. Jazz flips the model - full visibility from the endpoint, AI investigators that understand your business, and real answers instead of alerts. Built so one person can actually run it. Finally, security that works. Jazz has a genuinely differentiated story - and it's expanding into a platform play. We're looking for a Head of Product Marketing to own that narrative E2E: sharpening how we're understood by buyers, analysts, and the field, and building the function from scratch. This is a player-coach role. You'll set the strategy and execute it yourself. If you've spent your career doing PMM work that actually moves the market, this is your role. What You'll Own:
- Messaging and positioning. Own the Jazz narrative E2E - sharpen it, protect it, and make sure it holds up under competitive pressure and analyst scrutiny.
- Sales enablement. Give AEs and SEs everything they need to articulate the Jazz difference and win in the field - battlecards, talk tracks, demo narratives, and objection handling guides.
- Competitive intelligence. Run ongoing win/loss analysis, manage analyst relationships (Gartner, Forrester, IDC), and keep Jazz's positioning ahead of the market.
- Customer marketing. Partner with CS to build case studies, adoption content, and programs that turn customers into advocates.
- Build the function. Design the systems, processes, and content strategy from scratch. There's no inherited infrastructure - this is yours to build.
- Jazz has a real, defensible story and it's expanding - this isn't faster-horse marketing. There's a genuine category opportunity and a differentiated angle that makes the PMM work actually interesting.

- High proximity to founders and product from day one. Your work shapes company strategy, not just the content calendar.
- Jazz's brand voice is unusually bold for the security space. Creative, opinionated marketing is valued here, not just tolerated.
- Strong proof points already in market: CrowdStrike, AWS, and NVIDIA Startup Nest winner, 20 customers, backed by Glilot and Team8.
- 6+ years in product marketing, with at least 3 years in B2B security - at a startup or growth-stage company where you had real ownership.
- Proven end-to-end ownership of messaging and positioning for a technical product.
- Direct experience working with sales: built battlecards, created enablement materials, been in the room when deals get stuck.
- Analyst relations experience with Gartner, Forrester, or IDC.
- Exceptional writer - you can produce crisp positioning docs, one-pagers, website copy, and technical content at a high standard, fast.
- DLP, insider risk, or adjacent data security experience (identity, cloud, endpoint) is a strong plus but not required.
- Intellectually curious about how security actually works - not just how to market it.
- Strong editorial judgment - you resist pressure to overclaim and keep messaging honest and defensible.
- Self-directed: you identify what needs to be done without being told, and follow through without hand-holding.
- Comfortable operating without full context, making a call, and adjusting - this is an early-stage environment.
