Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, focusing on actionable goals and strategies.

• Implement therapeutic interventions to assist children and teens dealing with behavioral challenges, including providing anger management techniques and training on social skill development.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with the Child Family Treatment Team, ensuring consistent communication and a comprehensive approach to support.
\n
• Regularly document treatment progress, including maintaining up-to-date intake assessments and progress notes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
\n
• Participate in monthly organizational meetings to share insights and propose improvements to the therapy process, facilitating ongoing teamwork and growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to assist a diverse cross-section of children, ranging from ages 3 to 20, who face developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Many clients exhibit high-risk behaviors or require specialized support to navigate their unique emotional landscapes. As an LMFT, you will have the privilege of directly impacting the lives of children while also providing essential support to their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential for this position.

• Availability to provide a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, preferably during after-school hours (typically from 4 PM to 7 PM), with some weekend flexibility.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support techniques to facilitate constructive behavioral changes among youth.

• Prior experience working directly with children aged 3-20 who present developmental or intellectual disabilities is highly desirable.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation is necessary for traveling to in-home sessions.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting, is a prerequisite for employment.
