Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that are tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively manage mood disorders.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding of mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic client care.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to inform practice and enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses primarily on clients who are struggling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also work with vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, providing compassionate support tailored to their specific circumstances and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
