Key Responsibilities

• Patient Evaluation: Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' physical conditions, including strength, mobility, and function, in order to formulate effective treatment plans.
• Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment programs incorporating diverse techniques, such as exercise, manual therapy, and use of rehabilitation equipment, tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient treatments, responses, and progress to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitate communication within the care team.
• Ongoing Assessment: Reassess therapeutic goals and modify treatment plans as necessary based on patients' changing conditions and feedback.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, therapeutic exercises, and the proper use of assistive devices to enhance self-care and mobility.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other health professionals, including occupational therapists and physicians, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional education through workshops, seminars, and by participating in relevant professional organizations to stay updated on best practices in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, and chronic health conditions. Our focus is on helping patients regain their independence and improve their functional abilities, ensuring they can perform daily activities with confidence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and patient education.
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and management tasks.
• Comprehensive understanding of physical therapy methodologies and practices.
• A flexible, adaptable, and positive attitude towards patient care.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.
• Experience working with a variety of therapeutic modalities and equipment.

Compensation and Benefits
