Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a licensed Physical Therapist supporting PreK-12th grade students for the 2026-27 school year. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with educators and administrators to deliver school-based PT services, helping students reach their full physical potential in an inclusive academic environment. Full-time hours (37.5 per week) offer stability, while locations will be finalized for the selected candidate. Virtual interviews are underway, with final decisions expected post-July 1st—early applicants are encouraged!
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Physical Therapy license for North Carolina
- Demonstrated experience providing pediatric or school-based physical therapy services
- Familiarity with ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System)
- Ability to adapt services to a diverse student population, from early childhood through high school
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with faculty and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ physical therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals
- Monitor progress, document services and outcomes, and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s IEP/504 objectives
- Educate school staff and families on mobility and accessibility strategies
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and school district policies
