Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Empower students across all grade levels by bringing your expertise as a licensed Physical Therapist to a vibrant educational setting. This full-time contract position offers a fulfilling opportunity to collaborate with dedicated educators, students, and families in support of student growth and well-being. Work a school-year schedule (August through early June), supporting learners from PreK through 12th grade.
Interviews are being scheduled virtually, and while official offers will begin after July 1st, strong candidates are encouraged to express interest now for early consideration.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active North Carolina Physical Therapy license (required)
- Previous experience working in school settings covering PreK-12th grade preferred
- Proficient with ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to a variety of student needs and school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based physical therapy services as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with educational and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting for students
- Support students’ physical access, safety, and inclusion in school activities
