Assistant Project Manager (Pompano Beach, FL)Craft Construction in Pompano Beach, FL is currently seeking experienced and entry level Assistant Project Managers to assist in the planning, organizing and management of construction projects during budget, construction, and closeout of various projects in different locations throughout the Florida. Salary commensurate with experience and great benefits included.Roles & ResponsibilitiesPlanningBecome familiar with all building codes & local ordinancesResponsible for setting up all project control logs for submittals, RFI's, shop drawings, document logs in ProcoreParticipate in the development of the project scheduleLead jobsite setup effort including obtaining permits and setting up jobsite trailer and fencing with applicable FDOL & OSHA signageAssist project manager and estimating team in soliciting subcontractor bids and drafting scopes of work in preparation for subcontract issuanceOrganizing & Document ControlDrafting purchase orders and letters of intent and collecting insurance and liability documentation in preparation for subcontract awardAssist in creating lookahead schedules alongside Project Manager and SuperintendentMaintain ALL project documentation including managing appropriate timelines for submission and following up as necessary to maintain the project schedule and objectives. Documentation is including but not limited to:Drawings, sketches, revisions, drawing logsRFIs and submittalsPermits and inspection logsMeeting agendas and minutesAssist in the documentation of the weekly project progress report to the owners and architect.Assist Project Manager with the administrative aspects of Owner Change Orders, Subcontract Change Order and ensure the proper Craft documentation for these items is completed and approved by managementProcure all closeout and warranty documents and materialsField ManagementSee that proper safety measures in accordance with Federal and State laws, local ordinances and good industry practices are observed on the project by all persons and companies onsiteReview work in place for compliance with contract documents and Craft quality standardsLead the creation of punch lists and assist in management of completion of punch itemsCultivate good working relationship with the Owner and Owner's representatives as design professionalsLeadership & IntangiblesRepresent to all persons a high level of integrity, pride, enthusiasm, and competence that encourages the highest level of performance and moraleConduct oneself in such a manner as will reflect credit upon the Company and encourage others to do likewiseExperience:Project management: 1 year (Preferred).Requirements:Bachelor's degree in an accredited construction related curriculum (i.e., BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) preferred OR experience equivalent to a 4-year degree including training and working knowledge of quality principles.A strong working knowledge of construction means and methods of high-end new construction and renovation work.Proficiency with software used in the construction industry utilized for accounting, scheduling, project management and correspondence.Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.Reliable means of transportation to jobsites.Benefits:Dental insurance.Health insurance.Paid time off.Vision insurance.Retirement.Schedule: Business hours Monday through Friday or as required by the demands of the project.Ability to commute /Relocate:Pompano Beach, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).Work Location: In person.Job Type: Full Time Location: Pompano Beach FL
