Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist for Outpatient Rehabilitation

Clinica Recovery LLC is actively seeking a skilled and passionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. This full-time position is based in Waldwick, New Jersey, where you will be working directly in our outpatient facility. As a licensed professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients primarily within the geriatric population, helping them regain function and enhance their overall quality of life through tailored therapy programs.

Work Environment

The role is set in a welcoming and state-of-the-art outpatient office, designed to promote patient comfort and positive outcomes. Operating from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, this position allows you to maintain work-life balance while delivering your expertise in a supportive team atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for each patient, assessing their individual needs and developing customized treatment plans that address mobility, strength, and rehabilitation goals.
• Facilitate focused one-on-one therapy sessions, employing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to alleviate pain and improve functional movement.
• Regularly track patients' progress and adapt treatment approaches as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes, using metrics and patient feedback to guide adjustments.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including nursing staff and occupational therapists, to coordinate care and provide holistic support to patients.
• Educate patients and their families about their therapies and recovery strategies, emphasizing fall prevention techniques and at-home exercises that foster independence.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves geriatric patients, particularly adults aged 40 to 65 who are facing challenges related to aging or chronic conditions. The ideal candidate must be adept at tailoring therapy sessions to respond to the unique needs of elderly individuals, fostering trust and encouraging engagement in their own rehabilitation process.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active New Jersey Physical Therapist (PT) License, confirming your legal eligibility to practice.
• Requires a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program, ideally holding a DPT or MPT degree.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively communicate with patients and their families, as well as collaborate with team members.
• Ability to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient-specific diagnoses and functional impairments.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently, as well as within a team, fostering a supportive environment for fellow staff and patients.
• Maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach, focusing on empowering patients through their therapeutic journey.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar rehabilitation or assisted living setting, particularly with elderly populations.
• Experience implementing innovative therapeutic modalities and treatment methodologies relevant to geriatric care.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and other therapy documentation tools, streamlining patient management processes.

Compensation and Benefits
