Work Environment

Located in vibrant Paterson, our outpatient facility offers a welcoming and modern atmosphere for both staff and patients. As a Physical Therapist at Peak Performance Therapies, you will work as part of a collaborative healthcare team, consisting of physicians, occupational therapists, and support staff, all committed to achieving optimal patient outcomes. Your work schedule will typically be Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 8 PM, allowing for a structured but flexible routine that suits both your personal and professional life.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Peak Performance Therapies, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations to assess functional limitations and developing tailored treatment plans in collaboration with each patient and care team.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities to enhance recovery and restore function.
• Monitoring patient progress, modifying treatment strategies as needed, and ensuring that all care aligns with established professional standards and ethical guidelines.
• Providing instruction to patients and their families on home exercises, use of assistive devices, and self-management techniques to promote independence.
• Prioritizing caseload management and coordinating patient treatment schedules to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Documenting patient interactions and outcomes comprehensively in compliance with regulatory standards, contributing to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily provide care to a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, those suffering from sports injuries, and patients with chronic pain conditions. Your role will not only involve assessing physical capabilities but also addressing the psychosocial aspects of rehabilitation, fostering an environment where patients feel supported and motivated to participate actively in their recovery process.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of starting employment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

While no prior experience is required, candidates with experience in outpatient physical therapy or specific rehabilitation settings related to orthopedic care will be given preference. Familiarity with rehabilitation technologies and a commitment to continuing education in therapeutic techniques will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
