Step into a meaningful contract role supporting students as a Paraprofessional / Education Assistant for the full 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you’ll work with students in PK-6th grade, providing both behavior and mobility support for a diverse caseload that includes various disabilities. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in children’s educational journeys.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting classroom teachers with instructional activities and daily routines
- Providing individualized and small group support to students with unique learning needs
- Supporting students in self-regulation, positive behavior, and safe mobility throughout the school day
- Implementing behavior intervention plans and assisting with physical accommodations
- Creating an encouraging and accessible learning environment
- Documenting student progress and collaborating with other education professionals
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Experience as a Paraprofessional, Education Assistant, or similar support role in a school setting
- Comfortable working with students in PK-6 and supporting various disabilities
- Familiar with behavior management strategies and mobility assistance
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff
- Flexible, dependable, and dedicated to inclusive education
This full-time contract begins September 2 and will run through the entire 2026-2027 academic year. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in an educational environment, working closely with passionate teachers and specialists.
