Key Responsibilities As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include: Client Counseling: Engage with clients through video chat sessions aimed at improving their mental health and overall well-being. Emotional Support: Encourage clients to express their feelings and experiences, facilitating a deeper understanding of their emotions and relational dynamics. Goal Definition: Work collaboratively with clients to define and assess their personal goals, crafting a pathway to progress. Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate clients’ mental health status and develop treatment plans that utilize evidence-based methodologies tailored to their needs, regularly adjusting them based on their progress. Patient Population / Client Focus You will be working exclusively with stable adults, carefully screened to ensure they are appropriate for virtual counseling. These clients generally exhibit low acuity symptoms and are seeking guidance to enhance their mental wellness. Qualifications To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria: A completed Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. Full, unrestricted licensure by the state board, including one of the following: LMFT, LPC, or LCSW. Note that provisional or limited licenses are not accepted, and all candidates must have a clean disciplinary history associated with their practice. Exemplary interpersonal skills and a genuine compassion for helping others. Proficiency in technology and familiarity with online therapy platforms. Preferred Experience Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of direct counseling experience, ideally in a remote setting. Experience in online therapy platforms or virtual patient management systems is highly desirable, as is any specialized training in areas aligning with our client population.
