This role is essential to maintaining compliance with California employment laws and supporting day-to-day HR functions including recruiting, benefits, payroll changes, and employee communications.Key ResponsibilitiesPost job openings, coordinate interviews, and communicate with candidatesPrepare onboarding materials and coordinate new-hire orientationEnsure completion of I-9s, E-Verify (if applicable), and onboarding paperworkMaintain and update employee personnel files in compliance with company policies and legal requirementsProcess employee status changes, new hires, and terminations documentationAssist with audits and compliance reporting as neededMay process payroll-related changes, time-off requests, and employee data updatesCoordinate training sessions and support employee eventsPrepare HR reports and assist with special projects supporting the Finance and Data Engineering TeamManage weekly office snack shopping to ensure adequate inventory of fresh fruit, nuts, and treats; ensure descaling of coffee machines, etc.Other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or universityProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel skills, including logic and lookup functions.Strong attention to detail and confidentialityExperience with HRIS or payroll systems (Paycom, ADP, Paylocity, Workday, etc.)1-3 years of administrative experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar roleStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to multitask and prioritize effectivelyHourly Rate: $30.00 - 36.00 per hour
