Utilizing secure technological platforms, you will have all the necessary tools at your disposal to perform evaluations and facilitate therapy sessions effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews and assessments, documenting each client’s case from the initial consultation through the entirety of the treatment journey.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to provide tailored therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Design and implement intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, drawing on your clinical expertise.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting your therapeutic approach to the particular needs of clients.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress throughout treatment, making adjustments as necessary to maximize therapeutic effectiveness.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to align treatment plans and ensure holistic care.
\n
• Provide essential follow-up with psychiatrists and primary care physicians for clients who have been hospitalized.
\n
• Identify and proactively address behaviors that may hinder recovery, assisting clients in overcoming personal challenges.
\n
• Engage with family members and primary caregivers to support their understanding and management of mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will be working with a broad spectrum of clients, each presenting unique challenges and varying degrees of mental health needs. Your primary focus will include individuals facing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, and trauma. By understanding the contexts of their life experiences, you will tailor your therapeutic approach to meet each client's specific goals and support their journey towards healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• A strong foundation in mental health counseling theories and practices, demonstrated through relevant professional experience.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records.
\n
• Prior experience treating underlying physical health conditions and emotional disorders, as well as addiction issues.
\n
• Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices, along with a comprehensive understanding of psychotropic medications.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities and a deep sense of empathy.
