Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will undertake a variety of essential tasks designed to foster client development and therapeutic progress. Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining a manageable caseload while building rapport with clients through empathetic engagement and professional boundaries.

• Conducting regular sessions to assess client progress, ensuring continuity of care, and determining appropriate discharge when needed.

• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs and goals.

• Maintaining thorough and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates for each client in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Performing thorough intake assessments, effectively gathering pertinent client history and presenting concerns.

• Providing individual therapy sessions weekly, delivering evidence-based interventions to assist clients in their mental health journey.

• Participating in individual supervision to foster personal and professional growth and enhance clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses primarily on serving youth, including adolescents facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your role is crucial in helping these young individuals navigate their mental health journeys, offering therapeutic strategies that empower them and fostering resilience in a supportive environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.

• Eligibility for current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts.

• Capability of meeting internal credentialing standards in relevant clinical settings.

• A minimum of one year of direct experience in mental health care, particularly with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.

• Demonstrated skill in conducting assessments and diagnostics, alongside experience in both individual and group therapy settings.

• Proficient in computer usage for documentation and case management purposes, with basic keyboarding skills.

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates will possess a background in evidence-based practices for youth, including trauma-informed care and cognitive-behavioral approaches. Experience with integrated care models and familiarity with the electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous. Candidates who have participated in ongoing training or specialization in adolescent mental health will be given preference.

Compensation and Benefits\n
