Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Managing a diverse caseload of clients, establishing rapport, and developing positive therapeutic relationships while upholding professional boundaries and ethical guidelines.

• Conducting regular sessions with clients to assess progress, provide support, and discuss treatment goals, stability, and appropriate discharge planning when needed.

• Creating, implementing, and reviewing individualized person-centered treatment plans to reflect clients’ goals and progress.
\n
• Maintaining accurate documentation, including progress notes and treatment updates, in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.

• Administering intake assessments to determine eligibility and develop tailored treatment strategies.
\n
• Conducting individual therapy sessions weekly, using evidence-based techniques tailored to each client’s needs.
\n
• Engaging in individual supervision sessions for continuous professional development and feedback.
\n
• Collaborating closely with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care and referrals as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on youth and individuals facing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. By actively engaging with clients in individual therapy sessions, you'll play a vital role in helping them navigate their challenges and achieve their mental health goals.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts.

• Ability to fulfill all internal credentialing requirements in relevant clinical settings.

• A minimum of one year of experience in working with psychiatric patients and/or populations dealing with substance abuse.
