Key Responsibilities\n

The selected Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for the following:

• Manage a caseload of clients effectively, building rapport and fostering strong therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality.

• Conduct regular sessions to assess client progress, discuss treatment plans, and determine optimal times for discharge when indicated.

• Design, implement, and evaluate person-centered treatment plans tailored to individual client needs and preferences.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation through progress notes and treatment records to ensure compliance with regulations.

• Execute intake assessments to gauge individual client needs and develop appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions weekly, employing a variety of techniques and interventions suited to client goals.

• Engage in individual supervision sessions for professional development and continued learning, ensuring best practices in therapy.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care and optimize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position involves working primarily with youth and young adults experiencing a range of emotional and mental health challenges. The counselor will play a vital role in shaping positive patient experiences and improving outcomes for clients dealing with various psychiatric conditions and substance use disorders.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in mental health or a closely related field is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts is essential.

• Demonstration of the ability to meet internal credentialing requirements for relevant clinical settings.

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric clients and/or in substance abuse treatment is mandatory.
