Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Brightside Health Center, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities designed to support and guide our clients effectively:

• Facilitating group therapy sessions that encourage young adults to share experiences, build connections, and support one another.

• Providing tailored individual therapy sessions that explore personal thoughts and feelings, ultimately aiding clients in developing coping strategies and actionable plans.

• Collaborating with clients to construct personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs, goals, and preferences.
\n
• Monitoring client progress through regular assessments and feedback to adjust treatment methods as necessary.

• Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, communicating clearly to coordinate comprehensive care and consult on complex cases.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on young adults within our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), where you will support individuals navigating various mental health and emotional challenges. This demographic is particularly critical, as clients are often facing crucial transitions in their lives that may include academic pressures, interpersonal relationships, or early career development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
\n
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and trust with clients and team members.
\n
• Experience or interest in working with young adults in an outpatient setting is highly beneficial.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience with cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and group therapy facilitation will enhance your ability to connect with our clients. Familiarity with assessment tools and outcome evaluation methods will also be advantageous as you monitor your clients’ progress.
