Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial mental health evaluations and document findings accurately, guiding clients from consultation to the conclusion of their treatment journey.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans based on individual needs, considering unique factors for individuals, couples, families, and group settings.
\n
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to foster mental wellness and resilience among clients.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan, making necessary adjustments in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

• Communicate effectively with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding any hospital admissions or major changes in client status, ensuring a continuum of care.

• Develop and implement strategies to identify and address barriers to recovery, enhancing the effectiveness of treatment.

• Provide support to family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with tools to assist in managing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges. This includes young adults, families, and individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. You will be responsible for applying your expertise in understanding and addressing the complex emotional and behavioral issues these populations encounter.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven clinical experience as a mental health counselor in various settings.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, to document and track client progress.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients facing both physical and emotional health conditions, particularly with addiction issues.

• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of the effects of pharmaceuticals prescribed in a mental health context.

• Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to build rapport quickly with clients.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by a strong, empathetic approach to client care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
