Work Environment

Working on-site at our state-of-the-art hospital facility, you will collaborate closely with a team of experienced professionals dedicated to improving patient outcomes amidst a supportive work culture. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, creating a structured yet dynamic environment conducive to learning and growth. Key Responsibilities

As a Dermatology Physician Assistant, you will:

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and accurately document medical histories to assess the dermatological needs of patients.
• Work closely with supervising physicians to assist in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of a wide range of skin conditions, from common ailments to complex cases.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, including suturing, skin biopsies, and excisions, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout each procedure.
• Provide comprehensive patient education regarding skincare practices, preventive measures against skin diseases, and post-treatment care, empowering patients to take charge of their health.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens as appropriate, demonstrating clinical judgment and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies to inform patient management and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role requires a strong capability to treat a diverse patient population, including individuals of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric dermatology cases. You will have the opportunity to work with patients experiencing a variety of conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, skin cancers, and cosmetic concerns, allowing you to build meaningful relationships while making positive impacts on their lives.

Qualifications

• A current and active Physician Assistant Certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on dermatology.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems with at least two years of documented experience.
• Willingness to commit to a structured working-training program with the supervising dermatologist, typically running Monday to Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM.
• Capability to handle medical dermatology patients across all ages, showcasing adaptability and thorough understanding of demographic-specific skin issues.

Preferred Experience

While dermatology experience is strongly preferred, candidates with backgrounds in other medical specialties may also be considered if they demonstrate a passion for dermatological care. Familiarity with various dermatological procedures, laser treatments, and cosmetic dermatology will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits
