Work Environment

This position will be onsite at our surgical center in Syracuse, an area known for its beautiful landscapes and vibrant community life. Our clinic is designed to promote teamwork and efficient patient care, supported by a full support staff dedicated to minimizing administrative burdens. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and document clinical interactions in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring comprehensive and accurate medical records.
• Order and interpret lab blood tests and imaging when necessary to aid in diagnosing skin conditions.
• Adhere to strict ethical, legal, and professional standards as set forth by the clinic and regulatory bodies.
• Perform a range of dermatological procedures, including but not limited to, injections, mole removals, and suturing of lacerations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance at all times while interacting with sensitive patient information.
• Serve as a communication bridge between patients and the Medical Director, relating any significant feedback or concerns.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families about various dermatological treatments, self-care practices, and preventative measures.
• Manage workflow effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality patient care and satisfaction.

As a Dermatology Physician Assistant at Skin Elixir Clinic, you will work closely with a diverse patient demographic, including those presenting with chronic skin conditions, cosmetic concerns, and acute dermatologic issues. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree and completion of a PA program from an accredited institution.
• Must hold a valid CPR certification.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to ensure clear interactions with patients, families, and coworkers.
• Computer literate with familiarity in healthcare software and clinical management systems.
• Independent thinker with a capacity for making sound clinical decisions.
• Ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients and their families, as well as colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
• Flexibility and personal integrity are essential in maintaining a positive and cooperative workplace.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, particularly in dermatology or a related field.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
