Work Environment

This position is full-time and requires onsite work in our hospital facility located in Irving, Texas. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated patient panel, ensuring personalized care tailored to individual health needs.
• Support physicians in managing overflow, providing a seamless experience for patients.
• Engage in a 100% clinic-based practice, focused on continuity and quality of patient care.
• Perform medical procedures including IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, women's wellness exams, and colposcopies (if trained). Opportunity to perform circumcisions if qualified.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physician assistant in this role will primarily serve women of various ages, ranging from adolescents to seniors, addressing a diverse array of health concerns including reproductive health, prenatal care, and preventive services. You will play a crucial role in empowering patients with the information they need to make informed health decisions, while fostering a warm and trusting relationship that encourages open communication.

Qualifications

• A valid Physician Assistant Certification.
• An unrestricted State Medical License.
• Education requirement: A Bachelor’s Degree and preferably a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Experience of at least 2 years in an OB/GYN setting is required.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR is preferred for efficient documentation and patient management.
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and effective time management capabilities.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have prior experience specifically in obstetrics and gynecology, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within this specialty. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly EPIC, will enhance your ability to excel in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
