Licensed Physical Therapist for Geriatric Rehabilitation - Full-Time in Paterson, NJ

Position Overview

Clinica Recovery LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to become an integral part of our rehabilitation team at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in Paterson, New Jersey. This full-time position offers a rare opportunity to work in a compassionate environment focused on enhancing the quality of life for our senior residents. The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess the individual needs of each resident upon admission and throughout their treatment.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that address each resident's unique challenges and goals, focusing on enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional ability.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions, using various techniques and modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and pain management strategies.
• Track and document residents' progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their responsiveness and changes in condition.
• Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, caregivers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive approach to resident care.
• Educate residents and their families on effective body mechanics, fall prevention strategies, and safe mobility techniques to enhance their independence.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies, ensuring that all interactions and treatment modalities are recorded efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on the geriatric population, primarily residents ranging from 40 to 65 years old who may have various chronic conditions or post-acute rehabilitation needs. You will work with individuals requiring ongoing therapy to improve their physical function and enhance their quality of life, making your role crucial to their recovery processes and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active New Jersey Physical Therapist (PT) License.
• A Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MPT, or equivalent) is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for effective collaboration with residents and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in physical therapy, preferably with geriatric or assisted living populations, enhancing your ability to tailor therapies to older adults.

Compensation and Benefits
