Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMHC at Long Beach Counseling Services, your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining a caseload of adolescents and young adults, establishing trust and rapport while adhering to ethical boundaries and professional standards.

• Conducting initial intake assessments to evaluate the mental health and support needs of each client.
\n
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized, person-centered treatment plans that address specific goals and challenges of clients.

• Meeting regularly with clients for one-on-one therapy sessions to review their progress, stability, and overall well-being, while making necessary adjustments to their treatment plans.

• Documenting session notes and progress in our digital systems to ensure continuity of care and compliance with relevant regulations.

• Participating in individual supervision sessions to reflect on clinical practice and enhance professional skills.

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on supporting youth aged 12-24 facing a range of mental health challenges. Our clients often present with issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and substance abuse. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will hold the following qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Mental Health, Counseling, or a related field.

• Current and active licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

• Ability to meet internal credentialing requirements within our clinic.

• Strong clinical skills with a minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.

• Proficiency in conducting assessments, diagnoses, and delivering both individual and group therapy.

• Comfort and capability with computer systems for documentation and session management.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
