Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation center, which is designed to create a welcoming and effective atmosphere for patient recovery. The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, fostering a stable schedule that allows our therapists to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The collaborative work environment encourages open communication among team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and set objective goals for rehabilitation while providing ongoing evaluation and adjustments to treatment plans.
• Maintain an efficient patient load, typically seeing one patient per hour, allowing for personalized, focused therapy sessions.
• Utilize hands-on techniques and manual therapy to promote healing and enhance patients' mobility.
• Design and implement individualized exercise programs that accommodate the unique needs of each patient, ensuring that they are engaging in safe and effective practices.
• Encourage non-surgical treatment options where feasible, emphasizing the benefits of physical therapy over reliance on medications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists to facilitate comprehensive care plans.
• Provide patient education on managing conditions and promoting a lifelong commitment to health and wellness.
• Document all aspects of patient care thoroughly and accurately within our electronic medical records (EMR) system, such as WebPT.
• Monitor patient progress and outcomes, adjusting treatments as necessary to achieve the best possible results.
• Encourage patients through support and motivation, cultivating a trusting therapeutic relationship aimed at maximizing their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic issues, sports injuries, and postoperative rehabilitation. Our diverse client base includes individuals of all ages, from young athletes to active seniors seeking to regain functionality and improve their quality of life. We aim to create customized care strategies that address each patient's unique challenges and aspirations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory. Candidates with a Master's degree or Doctorate (MPT or DPT) are preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida is required.
• Strong understanding and proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Ability to effectively create and implement tailored exercise programs.
• Experience with electronic medical records software, specifically WebPT, is a plus.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions on your license.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of advanced therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation methodologies that align with current best practices in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
