Work Environment\n

This primarily remote role offers the flexibility of working from home while still being part of a collaborative team dedicated to patient care. The work hours are typically Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility for evening shifts based on patient need. The remote setting allows therapists to prepare and provide therapy effectively while maintaining personal balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the specific needs and goals of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing approaches such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to engage and empower patients.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and coordinated care for every patient.

• Be prepared to offer crisis support and interventions during substance-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being at all times.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction, relapse prevention strategies, and available community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality for all patient information.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education initiatives to foster professional development and exchange best practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest developments and research in substance use disorder treatment to continuously improve the care provided to patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work directly with individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders, including those within our hospice care setting. Our team provides compassionate support to patients who are navigating the often challenging journey of recovery, aiming to create a nurturing environment that promotes healing and hope.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
\n
• Proven expertise in recognizing and applying evidence-based treatment modalities, especially those focused on addiction recovery.

• Experience conducting both individual and group therapy sessions within the context of substance use treatment.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Strong ethical standards, ability to maintain professional boundaries, and commitment to patient confidentiality.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and effective use of relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
