Maridan South Spine and Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Lakewood, New Jersey. Our facility spans 5,000 square feet and is fully equipped to support advanced sports medicine practices. We focus primarily on patients with private medical insurance, ensuring that our therapy services are both effective and accessible. Our team is composed of highly skilled professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), each dedicated to fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

Work Environment

This position is onsite and located in our cutting-edge facility in Lakewood, NJ. You will work a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a predictable work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities and limitations, developing personalized treatment plans that define specific rehabilitation objectives.
• Manage a caseload efficiently, typically handling one patient per hour, ensuring quality interactions and comprehensive care.
• Employ a diverse range of treatment techniques and modalities to enhance patients' mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Demonstrate proficiency in manual therapy techniques and develop customized exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes accurately in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to optimize patient outcomes and streamline treatment processes.
• Continuously motivate and support patients throughout their recovery journey, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
• Utilize knowledge of current best practices in physical therapy to minimize the need for medications and provide non-surgical solutions when possible.
• Remain abreast of advancements in treatment methodologies and actively participate in team meetings and continuing education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population you will serve consists of adults undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic injuries and conditions. Many of our clients have sustained sports-related ailments or post-operative conditions requiring specialized care. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping these individuals regain their independence, mobility, and confidence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey without any incidences of disciplinary actions.
• Strong skills in manual therapy techniques and previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Experience in developing effective treatment plans that address varied patient needs.
• Competence in using EMR software, particularly platforms such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• 1-3 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist, particularly in outpatient orthopedic settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse patient demographic, providing individualized care.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in physical therapy and an interest in continuing professional development.

Compensation and Benefits
