Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite at our rehabilitation center in Lakewood, NJ, where you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources that facilitate advanced rehabilitation practices, ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care. You will work from Monday to Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, alleviating pain, and enhancing the overall physical function of clients.
• Evaluate patients through comprehensive assessments that include diagnostic and prognostic tests focusing on muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Provide hands-on therapy services in a home setting, ensuring that interventions align with physician prescriptions and patient-specific goals.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, traction, and other modalities, along with instructing clients in self-management strategies and functional activities.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of the home environment to identify barriers to rehabilitation and devise strategies to promote client independence.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in delivering quality care as per state regulations and organizational policies.
• Document clinical records meticulously, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information.
• Collaborate as a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, participating in case conferences to discuss client care and contribute to comprehensive treatment plans.
• Engage in continuous communication with clients and their families, providing education on therapy techniques and equipment usage.
• Record and address any changes in patient conditions, offering insights and recommendations to relevant healthcare team members, including physicians and case managers.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse clientele, including patients recovering from surgeries, managing chronic illnesses, or rehabilitating from injuries. Our goal is to empower clients to achieve maximum independence and improve their functional outcomes through personalized care plans that reflect their unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid and current physical therapy licensure in the state of New Jersey, with no restrictions on practice.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• A proactive attitude with the capability to make informed decisions and embrace leadership within the clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome new graduates, candidates with at least one (1) year of experience in an acute care or home care setting will be given preference. Familiarity with OASIS documentation and a background in working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team are also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Recoverease Therapy Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
