Work Environment

This position is an onsite role focused on home care. You will engage with patients in their residences, allowing for a comfortable and personalized rehabilitation experience. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured routine that allows for work-life balance. Our environment encourages collaboration and support, with a close-knit team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA).

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify the unique goals and requirements of each patient, adapting treatment plans as necessary.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused, individualized care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to administer effective, non-invasive therapies that enhance patient mobility and range of motion.
• Construct comprehensive treatment strategies using a variety of therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education.
• Design custom wellness and fitness programs tailored to patients' specific rehabilitative needs.
• Minimize reliance on medications by offering non-surgical alternatives and recommending lifestyle modifications.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their treatment, empowering them to achieve optimal functionality.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes, monitor patient progress, and communicate with clients and their families effectively.
• Document all services provided accurately, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary client base consists of individuals with orthopedic conditions who have private medical insurance. You will be working with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or those managing chronic pain, focusing on tailoring treatment to improve their capacity to return to daily activities and sports. The location's community-centric approach allows us to build lasting relationships with our patients, making their rehabilitation journey more personal and impactful.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current New Jersey state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• No record of board or disciplinary actions on license is mandatory.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques, crucial for hands-on rehabilitation.
• Skill in designing and implementing effective exercise programs to meet patient-specific recovery goals.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) software such as WebPT for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to implement innovative treatment techniques and therapies.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience.
