Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgical procedures in an outpatient setting.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, exercise regimens, and mobility enhancement strategies.
• Utilize effective measures to alleviate patient discomfort and accelerate healing, adjusting plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments provided, and progress to ensure a cohesive care experience and facilitate continuous care.
• Engage patients in ongoing assessments to redefine therapeutic goals and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Assist patients with the selection and fitting of assistive devices to enhance their independence in daily life.
• Provide educational training and support to patients, family members, and caregivers about appropriate therapeutic procedures and equipment use.
• Enhance professional skills and knowledge through attending workshops, continuing education courses, and active participation in professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, and other orthopedic issues. You will work closely with a diverse population, including children and adults, allowing you to tailor your approach based on individual patient circumstances and needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current state license in Physical Therapy to practice in New Jersey.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in utilizing word processing and computer applications for patient documentation and management.
• A flexible and adaptive approach to patient care, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
