Work Environment

This role is entirely onsite, focusing on home care visits within the local Lakewood area. The work schedule includes Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a predictable routine while enabling patient engagement in their familiar environments, thus enhancing comfort and adherence to therapy. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their individual goals, treatment requirements, and functional abilities.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercises, and modalities that aim to enhance mobility.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols based on effectiveness and feedback.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, exercise programs, and the importance of rehabilitation in achieving optimal health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach, contributing to comprehensive and holistic patient care.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes to comply with legal standards and facilitate ongoing care.
• Promote wellness and preventive care initiatives that help patients maintain strength, flexibility, and balance, ultimately fostering healthier lifestyles.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to work with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will interact with a diverse patient population, including young athletes, adults recovering from orthopedic procedures, and seniors seeking rehabilitation to maintain their independence. Understanding these varied patient needs and adapting your approach accordingly is vital in delivering effective care.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• At least 2 years of experience in orthopedic outpatient therapy or related settings.
• A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid foundation in exercise protocol development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential for patient and team collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• Experience developing individualized care strategies based on comprehensive assessments.
• Knowledge in alternative therapies and techniques to alleviate pain and enhance recovery without surgical interventions.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient tracking.

Compensation and Benefits
