Empower-Self Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist to join our team in Toms River, New Jersey. In this essential role, you will partner with patients to facilitate their journey towards restoring movement and achieving optimal physical functionality. Your expertise will help in promoting a high quality of life by focusing on aspects of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and comprehensive rehabilitation.

As a physical therapy practice owned by experienced professionals, we predominantly serve individuals with private medical insurance, emphasizing individualized patient care.

Work Environment

This position is situated onsite within our vibrant rehabilitation facility, designed to foster both patient comfort and professional collaboration. You will be part of a small team that includes two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all dedicated to providing tailored treatment plans and personalized care. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a stable routine with opportunities for professional development and patient interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and address each patient's unique goals and requirements to create a customized treatment approach.
• Manage a caseload, ensuring you dedicate individualized attention to one patient per hour, enhancing the quality of care.
• Utilize your background in orthopedic outpatient therapy to design and implement effective treatment plans.
• Promote evidence-based treatments that optimize clients' range of motion, mobility, and overall physical health.
• Advise on alternatives to medication and surgery, with a focus on conservative and sustainable treatment options.
• Create comprehensive care plans that integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to the individual needs of patients.
• Design personalized fitness and wellness routines that promote progressive improvement in physical health.
• Deliver high-quality care based on established protocols and the latest clinical evidence, enhancing treatment outcomes.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to sustain their engagement and commitment.
• Promote healthy lifestyle changes by enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and engage in ongoing communication to refine care strategies.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all patient care services delivered, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Your role involves not only rehabilitating these patients but also educating them about injury prevention and wellness, ultimately enhancing their quality of life and functional abilities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is essential.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey is required.
• A clean professional record with no board actions or disciplinary issues is mandatory for application consideration.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques is expected, showcasing your ability to provide hands-on care alongside therapeutic interventions.
• Demonstrable skills in developing and implementing customized exercise protocols for diverse patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to efficiently manage patient documentation and care processes.

Preferred Experience

While specific experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred, candidates with a strong background in physical therapy practices are encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health and well-being.
