Work Environment

The role of Physical Therapist is situated within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Lakewood, NJ. As a full-time team member, your typical hours will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to accommodate patient needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to collaboratively enhance patient outcomes within a warm and welcoming clinic atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions through assessments and clinical examinations, leading to the development of personalized treatment plans that address mobility limitations, strength deficits, and functional impairments.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and hands-on techniques to facilitate physical rehabilitation, ensuring they feel supported and motivated throughout the process.
• Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and at-home exercise protocols, equipping them with the knowledge needed to continue their recovery independently.
• Administer physical modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound therapy, and heat/cold treatments, working under established protocols to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring records reflect improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functional gains.
• Maintain well-organized treatment areas, ensuring all equipment and supplies are accessible, sterile, and ready for use during therapy sessions.
• Act as a key member of the interdisciplinary team, engaging in regular collaboration to ensure cohesive and holistic patient care strategies.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients, promoting a therapeutic environment that encourages engagement and overall well-being.
• Adhere to ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality and fostering trust by respecting patients' rights and preferences at all times.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits
