Work Environment

You will work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, where we provide tailored physical therapy services to a diverse population. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee physical therapy treatments directed toward enhancing mobility, preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring function in clients.
• Evaluate client functional status through comprehensive diagnostic testing and create personalized rehabilitation plans that enhance their performance capabilities.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants while ensuring adherence to the established treatment plan, providing guidance and mentorship as necessary.
• Administer manual and therapeutic exercises, instruct clients on non-manual activities, and motivate them throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Conduct home assessments to recommend modifications that will facilitate a supportive environment for recovery.
• Prepare and maintain clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with clinical documentation standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to comprehensive care discussions that focus on the overall well-being of each client.
• Continuously observe and record any changes in the client's condition, communicating findings promptly to the supervising physician or case manager.
• Educate clients and their families regarding home exercises, assistive devices, and the overall treatment process, emphasizing client independence.
• Engage in case conferences and maintain flexibility in adapting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on adult and elderly patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your ability to tailor therapy programs to meet individual needs will play a crucial role in enhancing their quality of life. Clients often come to us for rehabilitation after joint replacements, fractures, injuries from various activities, and post-operative recovery, necessitating a strong foundation in orthopedic principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy or a related field from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice as a physical therapist in New Jersey.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a similar role, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
