Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, improving muscle function, and maximizing patients' physical capabilities.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities using diagnostic tests to formulate effective rehabilitation strategies.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in the execution of treatment plans, ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and additional treatments that incorporate physical agents.
• Assess patients' home environments to recommend modifications that enhance independence and facilitate rehabilitation.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary team approach by attending case conferences, contributing insights, and coordinating efforts to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, ongoing assessments, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure a cohesive treatment process.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families about care plans, treatment objectives, and home exercise programs, thereby empowering clients in their recovery journeys.
• Actively engage in continuous professional development by staying updated on the latest therapeutic trends and techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a variety of patients, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. This role is integral in enhancing patients' mobility and overall quality of life, fostering independence through skilled rehabilitation interventions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in New Jersey.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation and treatment tracking.
• Previous involvement in interdisciplinary patient care teams.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
