CGP: Accounting Consultant (CONFIDENTIAL Person let go 11/10, hold)

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $45.00 to $55.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update fund expense allocation schedules, coordinating with fund accounting teams on monthly activity.
• Handle quarterly billing for portfolio company expenses and collaborate with investment teams to resolve invoice-related questions.
• Perform daily cash monitoring and reconciliation to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice entry, payment setup, and reconciliation in QuickBooks.
• Prepare and submit quarterly and annual census reports and assist with prepaid and fixed asset accounting.

• At least 1+ year(s) of accounting experience in public or private sector, with a preference for financial services or fund accounting.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks for invoice coding, payment processing, and journal entries.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP and SUMIF.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with daily cash operations and general ledger maintenance.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and amortization schedules.
• Knowledge of fund accounting and international financial operations.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
