CGP: Family Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Family Accountant to join their staff. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $120,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage cash flow for family and related entities, ensuring accurate cash management and reconciliation.
• Develop and maintain budgets for personal and related activities, monitoring expenses and ensuring alignment with financial goals.
• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and cash receipts.
• Prepare regular financial statements, cash flow reports, variance analyses, and compliance forms, such as sales tax filings and annual Forms 1099.
• Collaborate with household personnel and external vendors to manage property-related issues, vendor disputes, credit card expenses, and cost-saving analyses.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in personal or small business accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage financial data accurately.
• Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and managing their financial needs.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills to ensure effective handling of responsibilities.

• Familiarity with managing commercial properties, particularly data centers, is preferred.
• Ability to manage payroll, employee timesheets, and benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and bonuses.
• Experience coordinating with legal and tax advisors and managing compliance filings.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with family members and external vendors.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial data with discretion and professionalism.
