CGP: Junior / Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $28.00 to $32.00 per hour.
Job responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on schedule.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as needed.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Handle ad hoc accounting requests and provide support for special projects.
- 1-3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience within a nonprofit or educational organization.
