Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work onsite in our outpatient office, where the focus is on creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. The facility is well-equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and resources that enhance patient recovery and engagement. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing our therapists to maintain a healthy work-life balance while delivering care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their functional abilities and devise tailored treatment plans that align with their recovery goals.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and manual therapeutic techniques aimed at improving mobility, relieving pain, and enhancing the overall quality of life.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, therapeutic exercises, and vital injury prevention strategies to maintain wellness beyond therapy.
• Document patient progress meticulously, adhering to regulatory standards to ensure effective treatment tracking and compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation and chronic pain management. You will utilize a patient-centered approach that acknowledges the unique circumstances of each individual, providing customized treatment that addresses their specific needs. Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is the minimum requirement; however, a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• Licensing: An active New Jersey Physical Therapy License is mandatory to practice.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, preferably in outpatient or orthopedic settings.
• Certifications: Current BLS/CPR certification for healthcare professionals.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is set at two years, we highly value candidates with three or more years of direct clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
