Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Active Physical Therapy, you will:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, addressing their specific needs and therapeutic goals to alleviate pain and restore function.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring the delivery of effective treatment aligned with established plans of care.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patient function by utilizing specialized assessment techniques, including diagnostic testing for muscles, nerves, joints, and overall physical capabilities.
• Evaluate home environments to recommend modifications that enhance patient independence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Provide high-quality physical therapy services in accordance with physician prescriptions, demonstrating our commitment to personalized care.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises, while also instructing clients in non-manual exercises and daily functional activities, thereby fostering independence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Our clients range from younger athletes needing rehabilitation from sports injuries to older adults recovering from joint replacements. Your efforts will be vital in helping them regain their strength, mobility, and confidence, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapist (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a clinical setting, preferably focused on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• A valid CPR Certification to ensure patient safety and emergency preparedness.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience with advanced manual therapy techniques and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems can enhance your contributions to our team. Additionally, a background in assessing home safety and rehabilitation environments is highly valued.
