TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center in Jersey City, New Jersey, is seeking a motivated and compassionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding patients through their recovery, helping them regain mobility and optimize their physical functionality. Your expertise will be essential in promoting a high quality of life through effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs, spanning prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation.

Work Environment

Our Jersey City outpatient office is designed to promote healing and recovery, equipped with cutting-edge rehabilitation technology and tools. As part of a dedicated team of two physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), you'll have the collaborative support needed to provide back-to-back high-quality patient care. We operate Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a consistent routine that allows for ample patient interaction and recovery engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify the individual goals and needs of each patient, effectively tailoring treatment plans to promote recovery.
• Manage a patient caseload that typically includes one patient per hour, allowing for focused attention to each individual's rehabilitation journey.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care strategies utilizing evidence-based practices that aim to enhance patient mobility and independence.
• Provide cost-effective treatment options designed to improve clients' range of motion, reduce discomfort and lower the dependency on medications.
• Motivate and inspire patients throughout their treatment, incorporating techniques that promote a strong commitment to recovery and a healthy lifestyle.
• Design and implement exercise programs and therapies that are specifically tailored to each patient's unique needs and capabilities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, to ensure comprehensive, well-coordinated patient care across all levels of treatment.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, evaluate treatment outcomes, and maintain accurate documentation of care services within our electronic medical records system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient population will primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with those who are seeking to enhance their physical capabilities and return to active lifestyles. Your approach will interact with a diverse demographic, requiring adaptability and a keen understanding of various patient backgrounds and health goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid and current physical therapist license from the state of New Jersey.
• Impeccable professional record with no history of disciplinary action against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for documentation and treatment planning.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desired.
• Success in developing patient-centric wellness programs that enhance recovery and improve overall patient outcomes.
• Experience working with patients across a variety of age groups and physical abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
