About the Position

Anesthesiologist

Location: New York
Schedule: 8 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Weeknight and weekend pager call required. Overtime may be offered as outlined in the order details.

Position Overview
Provide anesthesiology coverage in a hospital setting in a medical direction model. This role includes general and orthopedic cases, with physician supervision of CRNAs. Cross credentialing at an additional site may be required as outlined in the order details.

Clinical Scope

• Medical direction model with physician supervision
• Supervision ratio: approximately 1 physician to 2 CRNAs
• Case mix includes general and orthopedics
• Number of anesthesia rooms: 6
• Charting systems: Cerner and iPro
• Responsibilities include pre anesthesia assessment, obtaining and verifying consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, emergence, physiologic monitoring, and clinical interventions as needed

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Completion of an approved anesthesia residency
• Board certification required
• Active New York medical license required to present

Additional Requirements

• Provider must reside more than 60 miles from the worksite
• Not accepting candidates needing to obtain a new state license as outlined in the order details

Credentialing

• Estimated privileging timeframe is approximately 75 days
• Accelerated privileges may be available for urgent coverage needs as outlined in the order details
