Job Title Coordinator, Vacate Experience FLSA Status Non‑Exempt Location New York, NY Worksite Status Hybrid About the Role As a Coordinator on the Vacate Experience team, you’ll work in a fast‑paced environment where you’ll connect with residents and primarily be responsible for the non‑renewal vacate process. What You’ll Do Communicate with residents during the vacate and lease break process while providing a high level of customer service. Follow established internal processes and regulated guidelines. Manage a high volume of phone and email requests, while ensuring residents receive a timely and accurate response. Coordinate daily move outs and unit takeovers with the apartment readiness team. Facilitate unit inspections for unresponsive renewal offers. Support follow‑up actions including tenant outreach or legal escalation. Additional duties may be assigned by Supervisor as needed. What You Should Have Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Willingness to connect with others to keep the team aligned and focused. Ability to follow outlined company policies and procedures. Capability to discuss sensitive resident scenarios while maintaining a professional and consistent position. The discipline and willingness to do what needs to be done. A love for doing what others won’t and solving difficult problems. A desire to grow and take on ever increasing responsibility. Familiarity with Rent Stabilized leases and the DHCR. Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast‑paced environment. Experience in a multi‑family environment would be good too. Compensation Base Salary: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience & location.
