Job Description As a Security Officer Full Mall Patrol Driver - Bicycle in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a retail center location, you will conduct highly visible foot, bike, and vehicle patrols to help deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and tenants, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and work with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon 11:30 AM - 08:00 PM Tue 11:30 AM - 08:00 PM Wed 11:30 AM - 08:00 PM Sat 11:30 AM - 08:00 PM Sun 11:30 AM - 08:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or vendors at a retail center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, storefront perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
