Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Valence Counseling Services, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial mental health evaluations and diagnostic assessments to identify clients' unique needs.

• Facilitating ongoing therapy sessions, including individual, couples, and group formats, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Creating and implementing tailored treatment plans that incorporate clients' preferences and goals, continuously adjusting these plans based on therapeutic progress.

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.

• Documenting all client interactions and treatment progress accurately in accordance with state regulations and clinic policies.

• Participating in clinical supervision and professional development opportunities to refine skills and stay current with advancements in mental health treatment.

• Upholding ethical standards and state licensure requirements while reinforcing a culturally competent approach to therapy.

• Providing support and understanding to clients from diverse backgrounds, including those from marginalized communities, acknowledging cultural, socioeconomic, and identity factors in the therapeutic process.

In this role, you will work with a varied caseload that reflects the rich diversity of our local community. This includes individuals from all walks of life, with a focus on those experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health concerns. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation in the State of New York.

• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related mental health field.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Valence Counseling Services offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, dependent on experience and caseload. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
